Star Fort Pond is a small managed fishing lake of roughly 22 acres near Ninety Six in Greenwood County, right beside the Ninety Six National Historic Site and its Revolutionary War star-shaped fort.

Fertilized and stocked, Star Fort Pond produces largemouth bass, bluegill, shellcracker and channel catfish, and has a fishing pier. It is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from April 1 through November 1, sunrise to sunset. The setting is a bonus: the adjacent Ninety Six National Historic Site preserves one of the most important Revolutionary War sites in the backcountry, making this an easy fishing-and-history outing. A South Carolina license is required.
