Lake Robinson fishing & paddling guide

Lake Robinson is the larger of Greer’s two water-supply lakes — roughly 800 acres of clean water just northwest of the city, with the Blue Ridge rising in the distance. Owned by the Greer Commission of Public Works and built as a drinking-water impoundment, it is open for fishing, boating and paddling from sunrise to sunset through the J. Verne Smith Park.

The park’s boat ramp on Mays Bridge Road is backed by three fishing piers and rentable event sites. Like its sister lake, Robinson runs a 10-horsepower limit and a boating-permit requirement, keeping it calm for kayakers. The fishery is well stocked: largemouth and smallmouth bass, redear sunfish, bluegill, crappie and catfish all swim here.
