Lake Oliphant  - Chester County

 About Lake Oliphant

This lake is a public lake managed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required to fish this lake. Largemouth bass were stocked in large numbers to help keep the lake from being over populated by bream, and has become an excellent small water fishing lake.


Size:  40 Acres

Regulations  (Source: State Managed Lakes Website listed below  )

  • A South Carolina Fishing License is required
  • Outboard motors are prohibited - electric motors only
  • Creel limtis:   3 bass 14" or longer, 20 bream
  • No minnows allowed
  • Fishing allowed only on Mon, Wed, and Sat
  • Open only during daylight hours.

This lake is located in Chester County off of highway 190 near the Chester Municiple Airport.
