Draper WMA Lakes – York County

The Draper WMA lakes are three small managed fishing ponds near McConnells in York County — the largest about five acres, the smallest about one — totaling roughly eight acres of fertilized, stocked water close to Charlotte and Rock Hill.

Fishing, rules and access

All three ponds are stocked for largemouth bass, bluegill, shellcracker and catfish. They are open every day except Tuesday, sunrise to sunset, with rod-and-reel fishing only and a combined daily creel limit of three fish with a 14-inch minimum size. A South Carolina license is required. To reach them, take Highway 322 from McConnells about two miles to the signed Draper WMA entrance.
