Broadway Lake – Anderson County

Broadway lake is a small 300 Acre lake located in Anderson County.  It has one park with a boat ramp and swimming area.

About Broadway Lake

Fishing, swimming and boating are the things that make a lake fun, and Broadway Lake has all this. Although small, this lake really provides a lot of fun for the people in Anderson County. There is park on the shoreline with a boat ramp, a nice swimming area, and plenty of parking.

Broadway Lake impounds the following creeks: Broadway Creek, Cupboard Creek, Pea Creek, and Neal’s Creek. The discharge from the dam flows into the Rocky River which flows into Lake Secession. Anderson County owns the lake.   

Current New: June 14, 2009      

An aritcle written by Mike Ellis dated May 16, 2009 on the website www.independentmail.com states that the floodgates on the Broadway Lake dam were damaged during a March rainstorm. So the lake has lost a great deal of water and may not be suitable for lake recreation.

  • Location: Broadway Lake is located in Anderson County south of the city of Anderson.
  • Roads: Take Highway 28 from Anderson heading toward Antreville and turn left at the intersection with the Flatrock sign.  Then drive straight.

    Lake Boardway is in need of a new boat ramp it’s very hard to launch a boat without going into the water it;s all broken up. I have to back up so far into the water my truck muffer is under water
